EXPERTISE

Cong has practiced with Swanson & Bratschun since August 2011. Cong drafts and prosecutes patent applications in the fields of mechanical, electrical, software and biotech.  

Prior to joining Swanson & Bratschun, Cong worked with early-stage energy and technology startups on patent portfolio, business and entrepreneurial development. Cong has experience in renewable energy projects, particularly in the technical development of large-scale wind energy centers across the U.S. Her former background in bioengineering focused on characterizing and manipulating the gamma-5 subunit of the G-protein cellular signaling pathway at the Weis Research Center in Danville, PA.

As an undergraduate, Cong’s various research experiences included oxygen isotope analysis on seabed sediment to show trends in sea surface temperatures; cognitive sciences research in the human perception of lightness and textured surfaces; and vaporization cooling technology in gas turbine blades.
