Swanson & Bratschun, L.L.C. is a full service intellectual property law firm located in the South Denver metropolitan area. The members of our firm have patent prosecution experience in virtually all technical fields and have prosecuted patent and trademark applications throughout the world. We have litigated patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret cases, represented clients in all manner of inter-party proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and many foreign patent and trademark offices, and possess extensive experience in the acquisition, transfer and licensing of intellectual property rights.

We are active members of a variety of professional associations which help keep us abreast of developments in the field of intellectual property law and licensing. Our contributions to the field include preparation of an annual article on intellectual property law for the Annual Survey of Colorado Law.

Representative technical fields within our patent practice include biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, medical equipment and products, optical communications, computer peripherals, civil and environmental engineering, software and sports equipment. Many of our professional staff have advanced degrees in their areas of expertise, including five PhDs.

Our trademark practice encompasses counseling in the selection, clearance and protection of trademarks in the U.S. and abroad, as well as all aspects of domestic trademark prosecution and administrative proceedings.
